Hello! Another week has quickly passed, and again, I have learned something new! This week our case study asked for our opinion on whether drop shipping or the affiliate network method would be the best method for our start up company. I must be honest and say I had never heard of either method. On one hand, it’s a terrible thing, because it means I am out of touch and I have a lot of researching to do. On the other hand, however, it’s a great thing, because I do have researching to do, and any research done means I’m getting the most current information.
After extensive researching and speaking to a coworker, I am a little bit excited to find out that this is another part of the puzzle of creating an online business, making the whole process not as daunting as I thought it would be. Every piece that I learn about how to create a web business is really helping me to see that even an “older” person like me can do something like this.
Drop shipping means never having to carry inventory. Affiliate network means having someone else do the marketing for you. With drop shipping you can make a profit quicker, but with Affiliate networking you don’t have to worry about dealing with customer service or returns.
Both are good methods, depending on your needs and goals. Great week!
